Sri Lanka in June, need packing advice

Packing

Going in June, trying to pack as light as possible.

1. Do I need a waterproof cover for my suitcase?

2. Do I need to take a sleep sheet?

June is the start of the southwest monsoon in Sri Lanka. The west and south coasts get wet but the east coast and cultural triangle are generally drier. Lightweight quick-dry clothes are the right call. A packable rain jacket you can stuff in your day bag is more useful than an umbrella. Temples require covered shoulders and knees so a light scarf or sarong covers both modesty and sun protection. Sandals with good grip for wet temple steps.

Same question from me. My departure is June 14th. The monsoon timing is my main concern.
